York & Jordan met in the summer of twenty sixteen, this is their story.
Santa Barbara is quite a small and connected town, but even smaller is the LGBTQ community. Strangely enough, it took eight years for York & Jordan's paths to cross.
The fateful day happened when Jordan stumbled across a profile in a dating app. The profile read a name of "Miss Third Ward" with a cute photo to match and being the avid Beyoncé fan, Jordan could not resist messaging this person.
On York's end he received a message from a very limited profile, one in which only had a name of "J", one handsome picture and a height of 6'3". Jordan had a killer smile but with so few other details, York just hoped he wasn't an actual killer.
Instead of lots of texting back and forth, Jordan requested to meet up very quickly. The two settled on the Pickle Room as the place to meet...reluctantly deciding to a time way past their bedtimes...9pm.
The night arrived and sitting across from each other in the second booth the two exchanged pointed questions, mostly from Jordan, to gather information. Finding parallels in their favorite drinks, donuts, bedtime, and countless other items they agreed to meet the following Saturday (a whole 5 days later) to play it cool.
A day later, Jordan caved and they had a second date. The day after that York caved and they had a third date. By the time Saturday rolled around they were already on the road to love.
